In a communication to the stock exchanges, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) highlighted its latest operational performance.
In the container segment, APSEZ handled 7.22 million TEUs in FY21, registering a growth of 16 % on year-on-year basis. The market share of APSEZ in containers increased to 41% of the all-India container volume in FY21.
In March 2021, it handled a cargo volume of 26 MMT, a growth of 41% on year-on-year basis and 23% on month-on-month basis.
APSEZ handled cargo volume of 73 MMT in Q4FY21, registering a growth of 27% on year-on-year basis.
It handled cargo volume of 247 MMT in FY21, registering a growth of 11% on year-on-year basis.
The west coast ports of APSEZ (Mundra and Hazira) handled 6.32 million TEUs of container volume in FY21. The market share of the western ports of APSEZ in containers increased to 48% in FY21.
Mundra Port ended the year with a record cargo volume of 144. 4 MMT, a growth of 4% on year-on-year basis, and continues to be the largest port in the country.
